Frischfaser Karton

Frischfaser Karton is closing its Baiersbronn paperboard mill, putting about 220 jobs at risk after an investor withdrew.

The insolvent plant is expected to stop operating after September 7 because it no longer has funding to continue production or pay employees. The company had cited high energy costs and weak demand in the European paperboard market during its insolvency process.
