WKW Hungaria

WKW Hungaria will close its Győr automotive-components plant, ending employment for all 470 people at the site.

Production will wind down gradually through December 31, with employees leaving in phases and receiving severance and a monthly retention bonus while they remain. WKW said withdrawn customer orders and persistently weak automotive demand had made Hungarian production uneconomic.
