Nordic Sugar plans to end sugar production in Nakskov, putting up to 150 jobs at risk while retaining the site as a packaging center. The proposed production closure is subject to negotiations and would follow the 2026–27 campaign in January 2027. Parent company Nordzucker said Denmark's remaining sugar production would be concentrated at its Nykøbing site.
