Norwegian People's Aid expects to eliminate about 1,700 positions worldwide after rejecting conditions attached to continued U.S. funding.

Norwegian reporting says roughly 40 to 50 of the affected roles are in Norway. The organization said accepting the funding terms would conflict with its humanitarian principles and work in affected countries.
