Synopsys plans to cut 128 jobs at its Sunnyvale, California, operation in a permanent workforce reduction.

The layoffs are scheduled for December 16 and are concentrated in engineering and research and development roles. The cuts come as Synopsys reorganizes following its acquisition of Ansys.
