Policies
Privacy
The short version: we don’t track you, we don’t sell anything about you, and we only keep what you choose to send us.
What we collect when you read
This site sets no cookies and loads no advertising, analytics or social-media scripts. Fonts and images come from our own server.
Like nearly every website, our hosting server keeps standard access logs (your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) so we can keep the site secure and working. We do not use these logs to build profiles of readers.
Analytics
We do not currently use analytics. Before we add any, we will update this page to say which service we use and what it collects, and we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
What you send us
When you send a tip, report an error or contact us, we store what you enter (for example, your email address and message) so we can respond, and a copy is emailed to our newsroom inbox. We use it only for that purpose. We do not sell or rent it, and we do not share it except when the law requires it.
Tips can be sent without giving your name. If you share your contact details, we will not reveal you as a source.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, through our contact page or by emailing hello@todayslayoffs.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have further rights under state law. We honor them for every reader.
Links to other sites
Our stories link to the original sources: state agencies, company websites and news organizations. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy here, with a new “last updated” date.
