Using the site

You are welcome to read, link to and share our stories. Please don’t copy whole articles onto another site; quote a short passage and link back instead.

Reusing our data

The license for our downloads and API is published with them. Whatever the license, please credit “Today’s Layoffs” with a link to todayslayoffs.com, and do not suggest we endorse your work. Underlying documents such as WARN notices and SEC filings are public records owned by their publishers. Follow the link in each story to the original.

Not advice

We report what employers and public records say. Nothing here is legal, financial or employment advice. Our guides explain general rules; for your own situation, contact your state workforce agency or a qualified professional.

Accuracy

We work hard to be accurate and we correct errors openly, but announcements change and sources can be wrong. Our information is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of it.

Fair use of our services

Don’t try to disrupt the site, overload our API, or use our forms to send spam or unlawful content.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
